Hi. I'm Onyinye.

I am a Product Marketing Manager. I help early-stage startups discover their best-fit customers, uncover the value they seek, and sell successfully to them through market & customer research, positioning, messaging, and content. Scroll down to learn more about my work.

Pre-Launch Marketing at Yolohealth

After the FDA approved GLP-1 medications for the treatment of obesity and overweight, many online and telemedicine startups sprang up, and in a short time, competition became stiff. We were a small bootstrapped startup and didn’t have as much money as industry giants like Weight Watcher’s Clinic (formerly, Sequence), so we had to devise creative ways to differentiate our product and communicate that difference to our customers. Here’s how I spearheaded this effort:☑️Based on the insights I had about the customers and the market, I suggested a product feature, an AI meal planner. I wrote the requirement document and built some virality into it. The goal is to use it as a core customer acquisition too.☑️I created the messaging and value propositions, positioning the product against market leaders and alternatives – free access to resources and live events from obesity experts. You only pay when you want a consultation with an obesity doctor.☑️Leveraging customer insights, I created an eBook on healthy breakfasts that generated a 500-person waitlist in two weeks.

Product & Content Marketing at Evolve Credit

Evolve Credit supports two segments: Microfinance Banks struggling with inflexible lending software and "emerging" lenders (digital lenders, MFIs, and cooperatives) using spreadsheets.I conducted thorough research to understand customer pain points and market challenges. Then I designed content pillars that mapped product features to customer needs, addressing their questions and establishing Evolve Credit as a thought leader. Here’s what I achieved:
☑️Executed a content-driven GTM strategy (weekly events, zero-click emails, social media, WhatsApp) that increased the inbound pipeline in the first 6 months from zero to an average of 90 per quarter
☑️Developed the launch narrative, messaging, and assets for a tier 1 launch, leading to a 54% increase in the sales pipeline.☑️Set up a free consultation program yielding customer insights, market and competitor intelligence. This informed product roadmap development and enhanced the content marketing program.

Marketing at eBanqo

I Joined eBanqo as the first marketing hire, overseeing content marketing and leading a cross-functional product launch across 3 markets. Being a very early-stage startup at the time I joined, I had multiple responsibilities like managing enterprise accounts and having sales calls/product demos. These honed my product marketing skills.Achievements:
☑️Applied the JTBD framework in interviews with customers and sales calls. Shared the insights from these conversations with the product team, helping them prioritize features ICPs care about.
☑️Led the launch of a new product in two markets. Developed messaging, value proposition, and sales enablement materials that helped in cross-selling to over 50% of enterprise customers.
☑️Led a website redesign project, resulting in a 28% increase in the inbound pipeline.

Personal Projects

In addition to my work, I have some really interesting marketing - well, and non-marketing stuff I do on the side. Here is a quick summary of them.
